Sitting in my lounge this week afflicted by Covid 19 and preparing for next week's ride my mind wanders back to 2014. Then I cycled from John O'Groats to Land's End and raised £16,000 to equip and train church leaders from across Uganda. Hundreds of our Ugandan sisters and brothers benefited from extensive residential training helping them to reflect on the shape of their leadership in the light of Jesus' example. Although there is a big challenge ahead, not least getting clear of Covid in time, I am encouraged by the memory of that ride and all that resulted from the generosity of so many people.
