We began day 3 with some admin issues, so it was useful that it was a shorter ride, but no less demanding in terms of hills. Right from the start as we left South Molton, the climbing began. After some climbs we reached Bampton where Francis had found a lovely café, Spelt where we tried their flapjack. Cycling and flapjack are a great combination. We got back on our bikes and headed for Wiveliscombe and the appropriately named Bishop's Lydeard. Unfortunately there weren't any signposts for us to get a picture of.
From here we headed up to the fringes of the Quantock Hills, riding on narrow roads. Frustratingly we had to stop many times for large vans and tractors to pass us. Finally we descended down from the hills and into Bridgwater.
