'Wow, today's ride was tough, hot and sticky. Sticky as some of the roads were melting as well as the humid stickiness. We rode 106km/66miles and climbed 2014m (a new record for me). We cycled up and down through the beautiful Forest of Bowland (not many trees though for shade), then climbed in the Western edge of the Yorkshire Dales, before passing Tebay and climbing again to Great Strickland in the Moreland Dales.'
