Day 2 - Hard climbs

By Chris Stanley - First thing Francis drove us from the hotel down to Wadebridge to pick up from where we finished the day before. As we headed for Boscastle we immediately noticed how fresher it was and that the wind had picked up. The descent into Boscastle was hair raising as the road drops down to the harbour very steeply. After a bite to eat we tackled the steep ascent from the harbour area and set off inland. The next section undulated, but was very straightforward.

Towards the end of the ride the climbing reared up again with a number of steep sections between 15 to 20%, the last one breaking us. For me it was the most climbing I have completed in day, 1856m/6088ft. Reaching the hotel was a big relief. In total we rode 112km/70miles.
